Take a Break from Holiday Shopping Giveaway

This Giveaway is now Closed!
Check for our post listing the lucky winner!

Photobucket

It gives me great pleasure to announce our very first blog giveaway! I hope this is the first of many.

The holidays are upon us once more, bringing with them the hustle and bustle of the stores as people scramble to find the perfect gift for their family and friends. I don't know about you, but I really dislike the crowds of the holiday season. Trying to keep up with 4 kids among the throngs of holiday shoppers makes me more than a little crazy! I have great respect for all of you who brave the crowds of Black Friday to take advantage of the amazing deals. It's just not my cup of tea. Which is why I have been shopping for Christmas gifts since September, mostly online!

If fighting the crowds in search of a bargain is your thing, then I have a giveaway for you!

Prize

The winner will receive 2 Starbucks $5 gift cards so you and a friend can take a break in the middle of your holiday shopping. (Or keep them both for yourself. We will never know!) They come packaged in a cute little snowman gift bag handmade by yours truly.

Mandatory Entry

Leave a comment listing a tip for dealing with the holiday crowds. Or tell us a great bargain you scored this holiday season.

My answer: I do all of my shopping online or before Thanksgiving so I don't have to deal with the crowds. This year I did most of my shopping on Amazon thanks to the gift certificates I earned from Swagbucks. Every time I had earned enough Swagbucks for a $5 Amazon gift card, I cashed out. I just kept adding them to my Amazon account all year long and had a nice balance built up by October. It was a true blessing to have most of Christmas taken care of with very little out of pocket.

Extra Entries

  • Follow Great Blog Giveaways on twitter. Leave a comment with your twitter username. (1 entry)

  • Enter the Kindle giveaway located on my left sidebar. Leave a comment letting me know you did. (3 entries)

  • Spread the word about this giveaway. Add this giveaway to a current Mr Linky, a posting on your own blog, or an online sweepstakes directory. Leave a comment with the url so I can see it. (2 entries for each)

Rules

  • This giveaway is open to US residents only, age 18+.
  • Mandatory entry must be completed before you can earn any of the extra entries.
  • Please leave a separate comment for each entry. For example if you advertise this giveaway on another site, you get 2 entries. So leave 2 separate comments.
  • Entries that can not be verified or do not follow the instructions are subject to deletion.
  • This giveaway will end December 2 at 11:59 pm EST.
  • Winner will be chosen using random.org's number generator.
  • Winner will be posted here and emailed. They have 48 hours to respond with their mailing address or a new winner will be chosen.
  • Please either leave your email address with each comment or make sure your email address is available publicly on your profile. If I have no way to contact you, I will have to choose an alternate winner.
If "post a comment" link is not visible, click on the "read more" link at the bottom and it will show up.

I'm with you on getting shopping done early. I had my shopping done for my friends in August. However, it doesn't mean I'll avoid crowds because I *love* it! Black Friday is way fun when you're one of the few who isn't out to get the "hottest items".

I too start early on my Christmas shopping... I don't mind busy malls so much as I do busy parking lots so I figure if I start the week of Thanksgiving (when I have time off from work), I won't have to deal the last-minute shoppers!
