GBG Blog Giveaway and Review - Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder Review

I recently was given the opportunity to review a great piece of software for moms - DVD Slideshow Builder from Wondershare.   I take tons of photos of my kids, so this is right up my alley.  If I had an abundance of free time, I would scrapbook everything.  I love to scrapbook, but almost never have the time. Fortunately for me, there is a quicker way to preserve treasured family pictures and put them in a form that is easily shared. With DVD Slideshow Builder, I can make a cool photo slideshow and share it on dvd, my blog, or youtube. How cool is that?

Key Features of DVD Slideshow builder:
  • A few clicks to make a photo video slideshow with music.
  • Support all popular pictures and video formats.
  • 200+ picture movie styles,custom transition and pan/zoom effects.
  • Edit photos and videos with built-in tools, like crop, rotate, apply effects, etc
  • Add lyric/subtitle easily if you want to add words on video
  • One-click to auto-synchronize video and audio,including titles,duration,etc.
  • Real-time preview your photo slideshow with a virtual remote.
  • Directly burn onto DVD disc and play on TV with DVD player.

My impressions:
I found that this was a very intuitive program to use.  I have tried several similar programs in the past that were difficult to learn to use.  This was not the case with DVD Slideshow Builder.

Want to see a sample video?  Here is a quick little slideshow I made of my daughter's marching band pictures.  The pictures look a little fuzzy after uploading them to blogger.  (Blogger's issue, not the software.)  The slideshow looks much better burned to a dvd. I loved that I was able to use the music from their actual show to use in the background.  Be sure to turn the sound on if you would like to hear it.

One of the features I really like is that you can record voiceover for the pictures.  Think of all the great Christmas presents you could make with this software!  How cool would it be to make a slideshow of the kids pictures for the grandparents, with the kids singing Merry Christmas in the background.

I also love that there is a wide variety of transition effects and themes.  I kept it fairly simple for the band slideshow, as I didn't want a huge file to upload.  However, you have a lot of choice in the themes, from baby to holidays.

I give this software 2 thumbs up for ease of use and all the cool features.

You can buy DVD Slideshow Builder for $59.99.  They also have a free version you can download that doesn't have as many features. You can view a comparison of the 2 versions here.

I love that it supports all popular video and photo formats, over 100+ file types. Always seems like I wind up with some odd file that I try to load and it won't. This would be very helpful.
